2 · What are our options?

Four ways forward, none decided

Each option has a different cost, risk and promise. Read all four, then vote for the one you’d support.

Option A

Rescue Fossil Bay School

To rescue the school, we need to expose the problem now: openly, dramatically and in depth.

  • Reputation. This will put the kindergarten’s reputation at risk.
  • How a donor might see it. From the outside, an investor or donor may see us adding thousands of dollars to a sinking boat. We’d need a plan that looks at least three years ahead, to show commitment, regeneration and a real future.
  • Families who already left. Many children are already not at Fossil Bay because of its downsides, too. What we hear:
  • “It’s too expensive.”
  • “I need to work.”
  • “Do they learn?”

This is an independent initiative, not run by any school. It’s led by a dad and shared for discussion with other parents. Questions, ideas or a different view are all welcome.
